What Do You Do?

What do you do when you wake up in the morning and fresh from the dream state you feel that everything is great…and then you remember?

You remember that yesterday you broke up with the person that you hoped would be the love of your life. It was completely unexpected to you and you still remember the feeling of being doubled over with pain. This couldn’t be your reality, this wasn’t in your plan. But it is your reality…so what do you do?

You start by choosing a thought that feels better. Don’t dwell on your pain. Thoughts are energy and whatever we feed energy to, grows. Be careful where you put your energy. It will grow.

So instead of dwelling on the pain, start making a gratitude list. Look around the room and see what you feel grateful for. If there is time in your morning take a walk. As you walk, make note of all that you’re grateful for. It can be as simple as the beautiful flowers you see, the blue sky, the birds or the fresh air on your face. Life is full of so many beautiful things that all still exist, even though something major has changed in your life.

Breakups can feel like the end of the world but I promise you that they are not. However, until you are ready to believe this…make a gratitude list. The vibration of gratitude is very high and I assure you that if you will do this, you will feel better.
